Here we have a selection of one off hollow black clay bead necklaces.
Due to the way these are made no two are the same, the right hand pillow above has
small glaze spots on the other side so that it can be worn either way around. They are
strung onto transparent cord, either 4mm or 5mm depending on the hole size in the bead.
These two pieces above have been decorated with transparent glaze and then
highlighted with platinum or gold lustre decoration. The beads are held in
place on the cord by tiny black O rings, all clasps and findings are silver.
The above peices were our first venture into this type of neck piece and both
have now been sold. The one on the left is threaded onto a 4mm black cord.
These two pillows are again hollow but are made from terracotta clay giving them a rich
colour which has been enhanced with glazes and lustres. The wonderful thing about terracotta clay is the way that the clay takes on a sheen from the glaze firing, contrasting beautifully
with the glazed surface.
